DATANA completes phase 1 of NATO DIANA Accelerator
In June, DATANA completed its participation in Phase 1 of the NATO DIANA accelerator, becoming the first and only Slovenian company selected to participate in the program so far.
We concluded this phase at the Industry & Investors Demo Day in London, where we pitched our DNA data storage technology to a high-level audience of NATO officials, defence ministries, investors, and fellow DIANA innovators. The response was overwhelmingly positive, sparking promising follow-up conversations with several Ministries of Defence, national agencies, and potential partners.
Gaining Momentum in the Defence Innovation Ecosystem
- Beyond pitching, Phase 1 offered a deep dive into the NATO innovation ecosystem and a unique opportunity to: Explore secure, scalable defence applications for DNA data storage
- Engage directly with NATO stakeholders and member-state representatives
- Understand how long-term archiving needs intersect with defence-grade data security
Along the way, we’ve achieved significant milestones, including letters of support and commitment from the Slovenian Ministry of Defence, and a joint grant proposal submission to pilot DNA data storage in a real-world defence use case.
